Have you ever felt like you knew someone,
Like meeting them you couldn't outrun?
Meetings we've shared a time or two,
Yet we never seem to have a clue.
That some thing's just meant to be,
I truly hope that you agree.

"I won't let you go again,"
Phrase written on my heart in pen.
Words I've heard a time or two,
When I hear it I know it's true.
Even though you may die,
That said is never a lie.

Maybe too much but never enough,
Telling you how I feel is just too tough.
Talks we've had a time or two,
But the words never come to view.
So bare with me while I explain,
The raw emotion in my brain.

Our lives are not our own,
I know I feel it in my bone.
Lives we've shared a time or two,
Last and next, old and new.
I looked into your eyes,
And I saw our previous lives.

The first time I ever felt free,
It was because of you and me.
Freedom you gave me a time or two,
So I spread my wings and finally flew.
For you I'll break out in song,
You make my soul so strong.

Finally my soul had flexed,
Remembering last and the next.
Souls we've shared a time or two,
Even if it's still so few.
The moment you stood at side,
Our souls were meant to collide.

Yours is the best for this old soul,
In the previous, current and the next stroll.
Walks we've shared a time or two,
I've always known your heart's hue.
In our next I'll see you 'cross a room,
Nothing will stop me to be your groom.

We'll live our lives again together,
Soaring lighter than a feather.
A flight we've shared a time or two,
Through the misty morning dew.
I'll hold your hand old and frail,
Knowing we will never fail.

And should one ask before my death,
What gives my soul it's breath.
"Love we've shared a time or two,
Will always be to see me through."
Never doubt our soul's bond,
When you look to the great beyond.

Because Death is only a door,
From one life unto more.
Doors we've shared a time or two,
Our next journey to pursue.
If not in this life then another,
You will always be my Other.
