Red like roses fills my dreams
And brings me to the place you rest
Your light finally faded so it seems
I knew you once when I was blessed
Now the night is full of screams
And an empty void in my chest

Red like crimson stains my night
And brings me to your bitter end
You gave everything you had to fight
Even when you had nothing to spend
You tried to be a light shining bright
And everyone you tried to defend

Red like hatred washes over my mind
And escapes from my mouth at you
How could I ever be so blind
To think I could believe the lies you spew
Never knowing the pain confined
You told me I could be true

Red like blood spills on my skin
I finally join you at your side
Where you lay my end did begin
How many times have you cried
Watching my blood grow thin
Finally with you I've died
