Just Breathe

Just Breathe

A Poem by Dezaraye
"

A moment of calm ...

"
Close your eyes

Inhale

Arms extend slowly
Fingers touch
A crescendo deep inside
Begins to build

Exhale

A silhouette on the shore
Waves create a melody
Clouds light as body
Dancing for no one

Inhale

Rays of the sun
Bouncing off the water
Stretching toward the light
Fingers brush the sky

Exhale

Laboriously, slowly
Sway to the sound
A cello pierces the air
The waves crash

Inhale

A distant pulse
Calls from the sea
Light slips into water
Clouds glow brilliantly

Exhale

Feet slide through sand
Spinning in time
Music floats tranquilly
Fingers brush stars

Inhale

A tear falls
Joining the sand
Lapped up by waves
A part of Earth

Exhale

Cello music stills
Waves crash
Movement slows
At peace with self

Open your eyes

It is amazing what we notice when, engulfed by silence, we concentrate what takes place around us. Just breathe. Let no thoughts clutter your mind, and the whole world fills your mind with pictures and sounds.
I love your picturesque speech, how you bring the scene to life. Nicely written. Very enjoyable.

Sounds like a breathing exercise or meditation...You used a lot of great imagery here...Thank you. I am more peaceful already, having read this....:) A silhouette on the shore...waves, dancing, music, sunshine, and PEACE. What more could we ask for?

This would be great on a tape! Terrific meditation piece Dezaray, I'd buy it if you taped it. The flow of meditation would be interrupted if you had to read...try selling it to new age recording companies...It's so good that I think they'd go for it.
Beautiful work.

beautifully written. It has an ephemeral - dreamlike quality to it. The poetry paints a vivid image in this one. It is like a balm, a warm wind....wonderful writing .

I don't want to open my eyes , it was too peaceful with them closed. I notice you feel this melodic rhythm ties life and music together. They both have rhythm , a beat to them. I also feel something connects the two. This was a soothing piece , lacking some of the meloncholy you sometimes put in your writing. I like. Rain..
