Distractions

Distractions

A Poem by Ralphy
"

for Constances

"

Distractions

Deep into my daily life
their chatter seem to grip me
forced to settle for less
as I strive to be great
no one seem to understand me
nor the epitome of my work.

Classified are my values
that are sheltered by my intelligence
making me vulnerable to my surrounding
and sensitive are all my needs
which shatters my precious heart
as I disclose my true feelings.

I’ve seemed to have lost my way
by the convenience of distraction
walloping in the hearsay...
But regardless of what they think
my time is so valuable
for it is my life on this fragile line
struggling with one goal in mind
to do my very best
until the end of my time.

Wow, ralphy, nicely done and touching, there is much to consider reading this,
what I liked most is the endearing passion and strength behind the emotion,
what I liked least, the form and the over use of the word "my" imo..
but in no way did it detract from the overall quality, beautifully written.
Great Job.

This poem states the struggles of your understandings, frustrations for
not getting them. I see your strength to endure, and not let things
get in your way. This is a great read:) AD

This flows really smoothly, it's full of emotion and intent, gentle and so well put together. Somehow that font makes your poem seem like a letter to a friend.

no one seem to understand me / nor the epitome of my work. I think somehow people do understand when you write like this.

Thank you for sharing

Each line leads so naturally into the next here.

Deep thought in every line. Purely enjoyable to read and different from most of the work I have read of yours. I like this!

The chatter, yes, to be able to block it out. I never thought to write about it although writing does for me seem to quiet it. Nice thoughtful piece.
