The Ticking Room

The Ticking Room

A Poem by Poe Redd

Eyes ticking                       left, right, to the dusty door

left, right, to the dusty door

Hanging on a handprint that was never there before

Floating down the grimy glass to rest upon the knob

Entering without knocking is a born-to-kill-you sob

Sobbing songs of bleeding screams

Bleeding sobs of singing screams

Come to take her noise away forever-haunted-more

Clutching the ghost to her chest as she walks back out the door

ticking left, right, to the life before

left, right, to the life before

          in silence nevermore

I like the photo and the feel of the poem. A lot of hidden story in this poem. I enjoyed reading the thoughts and I like when poetry open the door to questions. A excellent poem.

Oh Poe, no. Not the... life before? I think I get it. :( Sad. Good poem, but makes me sad.
