Blood, Candlelight, Forever

Blood, Candlelight, Forever

A Poem by Barbara Borel

When you hurt I hurt, when you ache so do I. Your sadness makes tears fall deep from inside my sad eyes.

Your tortured soul, I so just want to love. And make my wishes for you on the stars high above.

You hold such a deep place inside of my heart. I knew you were my one true love from the very start.

Through laughter and pain, rain storms or shine. I vow to be your friend and lover. If you could only just be mine.

For now in our dreams we will stroll this wondrous city. With sorrowful beauty full of broken dreams, death, and pity.

But alone we won't be your hand in mine. On cups of blood by candle-light we shall forever dine.

Yes forever I say again, our love will forever last. No more sorrowfulness, no more pain, it's all in the past.
