Pure Heart Love and Hate

Pure Heart Love and Hate

A Poem by Barbara Borel

Will this suffering soul never seem to cease. From dragons, witches, and blood dripping beast.

My heart was pure once upon a time. But between love and hate is a fine shallow line.

We cannot learn to love without first feeling it. Yet abandonment feels like getting beat and upon being spit.

Kicked in the stomach, gasping for air. When you evade me you leave me in complete despair.

So this lonely journey must come to an end. And straight to hell my heart I will send.
