TOMORROW'S TEARS

TOMORROW'S TEARS

A Poem by Bear

Here, here my child, what is it that makes you cry so
Stop or you will fill the heavens with stars, don't you know
Do you see all the points of light in the nighttime sky
That is what happens to all of our tears as time goes by
Keep that up, the night's sky will be full and as bright as day
Then tomorrow's tears, well they will have nowhere to stay
You see the three stars over there that seem to be all alone
Three sisters tears from when a fire took away their home
And that blue one that seems to blink, right over your head
That is my tears from when I learned your grandfather was dead
There are many great losses that mark our tears in the night
To fill the heavens with a scraped knee does that seem right
So dry your eyes my child and weep you not anymore
And let's try to smile even though I know your knee is sore

Glad to know. ...😄
An idea with such magnitude, I like how you perceived memories to stay stranded forever in time. Lovely read.

I have tried very hard to locate stories and tales told to children that help them through life's physical and emotional road bumps. Thanks for adding to this lost and dying art. Good job.

Thank you for the review I will see if I have any others of this nature.
Bear - It's just the kind of character building story told by a dad helping a son grow up. Most enjoyed the craft of your words and one more thing .....thanks for those memories. Namyh
