City Of Delusion

City Of Delusion

A Poem by Beautifully Tragic xPoetry Queen

I built a fortress

You knocked it down

As the walls of my world

Come crashing down

In my city of delusion

All I have built

Has been destroyed

Leaving me with all this guilt

I try to rebuild

You just tear my world apart

You leave me so far broken

All I have left is this broken heart

You make me think

Our love will be reborn

But all that stands in my city

Is left shattered and torn

Shadows linger

Of all that once lived

The life that's been taken

Can no longer be revived

In my city of delusion.

You are deluded. :)
I like the idea of the fortress.
Have fun.
