Ode To A Cardinal

Ode To A Cardinal

A Poem by Beautifully Tragic xPoetry Queen
"

To the cardinal that lives in my backyard.

"

So handsome,

Admirably dressed from head to toe

In your crimson red jewels.

Prancing around in the trees,

As you and your love builds a strong home

To soon host little ones and watch them grow

Into the mirror image of their glorious father..

or the mystic beauty of golden brown

While being drowned in a mother's love.

Spring has sprung,

And you're both busy as ever

In the circle of life.

I don't think I've ever seen one in person, but your description does more than justice to the picture.

"Prancing around in the trees,
As you and your love builds a strong home
To soon host little ones and watch them grow
Into the mirror image of their glorious father.." - There's something very warm and inviting about it.

It's nice to see you're experimenting with happier subjects. :)

Love it..When ever I use to see a bright red cardinal it as a messasge to pray for my older sister that died of cancer..Now when ever I see one of the males or females I say hello to members of my family up in God's Heavenly birdland..God bless..Valentine

Being in Tennessee at the moment I have been seeing a lot of cardinals (and for the first time) and they truly are a beautiful crimson red sign that Spring has sprung. Well said! NH

I like this vision of nature. I like the way your words ring out in this dedicate to cardinal. I like the thought, and I especially love the reminder that spring is here.
