Thots

Thots

A Poem by Beautifully Tragic xPoetry Queen
"

I was bored and started writing.....and then i kept writing.

"

Money from your pockets

And someone is getting rich

No one really cares about you

To them you're just mentally sick.

Sick from the lies, deception fed.

A mouthful of poison,

Taking it all in

With no knowledge of the truth.

Corruption is the answer,

Politicians that are smarter than average.

They build up their kingdoms of greed

As they fall in the cesspool of destruction.

Everybody sins, what's the use for religion

When the world has been created in sin.

With war and never ending bloodshed

These lands are a battlefield for eternity.

Can't you hear it? Do you even listen?

The whispers and echoes of our past

The agonizing screams of death in silenced ears

For peace and freedom never to be granted.

To not one country,

Not even two or three.

Blood will keep shedding

'Til humanity is no more.

Mother Nature has joined

In the fight against all of humanity

Too consumed in their own fight

Of self destruction.

I keep wondering how long

Can something like this continue?

When there is more concern

For who did it and ran...in Hollywood.

Sighing in relief that there is little hope

For a world my generation has dreamed of.

But the nightmare of hell on Earth

Veers its ugly face in my own.

My thoughts continue to scream

Through the chaos that I must witness

Watching humanity and freedom

Dieing in the shadows of the night.

I found this very powerful for just being bored. You wrote on causes and pain, sorrow from what we do to each other each day. Sad but true!

Loved It. Well done. Although I you have something more going on in this piece. It shows through your words very strongly.

Oh Rayne, when you started writing you opened Rayne's Pandora's Box then you could not stop writing. I believe that this year more people are asking the same questions as you are, but unlike other times, there are more doers in this world then in the past.

Mother Nature is violent but she is that way because she was forced to change and finally when we put our differences aside we will be able to assist her in her transformationor not.
I agree, it's time to come together for we are all we haveI haven't seen any other upright thinking creatures lurking about, have youNice write.

At one time or another everyone wishes that they can change the world. I think your piece reflects that desire to make changes and better society. The real issue here is that there truly is nothing that can change people. At least, not anymore. Our society has reverted back to an almost primal state. Those who have maintained their intelligence and have reared their children to be intelligent are merely making it harder. The intelligent middle and lower class will never have that same opportunity to rise up and be great as these politicians have. In all actuality, it is not your integrity or your intelligence that wins elections- it's all about money. Everything in society is completely profit-based and that's sad. But, at least you have noticed that there is a problem and that's the first step in trying to change things. Granted, it won't work, but you at least get the chance to prove that you're human. Kudos.

This piece is just all over the place, but judging from your last stanza that's exactly what you've meant.
Your thoughts do scream very loudly. ;)
