Beautifully Alive

Beautifully Alive

A Poem by Alicia Hirshey

"Dreams caress the inner most stretches of our brains, how we capture the image for paper is our own gift. That is who we are, the true dreamers."-Me

~*~

Expressionless faces
Have come and gone

With ages
Towers are crumbling
Falling short of me
~*~
Love is fading
Light is glistening
Life is beckoning to me
~*~
Harmful words
They slash like knifes
I must hold strong
I can't lose this fight
~*~
Home was lost
Everything I've known
Taken from me
Long ago
~*~
Love is fading
Light is glistening
Life is beckoning to me
~*~
Waiting alone
For him to take you home
Will you have faith?
Or just run away?
~*~
Run to his arms
Happy yet sad
Given up everything
To have it back
~*~
Love is fading
Light is glistening
Life is beckoning to me

Author's Note

Alicia Hirshey
I have reinvented myself, with a little time away, and a few changes here and there. I have finally found touch with who I am. Thank you for standing by me as I almost gave up everything. I love you all so much.
