Inner Demons

Inner Demons

A Poem by Little Writer Girl
"

Yet another creepy poem...

"

Around the corner they wait and hide

Waiting for a chance to see you cry

They live in the dark and feed off the sorrow

And they never return which they borrow

They strike when you least expect it

They affect you more than you admit

For they are the source of all your problems

And never relent no matter the challenge

They love to hear you scream

They strike fear into your dreams

And once they have you they never let go

For if they did you’d be blessed with endless glow

And they would cease to exist in the world we know

But they’ll always come back to you

Always there to make you blue

They are immortal beings bound to earth

Making you feel without worth

Making you wish your life would end

Never letting you have a friend

They want to make you feel rage and hate

And in their little corner they wait

And when they sense weakness

You’re sure to feel it

For they live inside you

They know what you went through

Your own creation tearing you down

And in your sadness they’ll make you drown

They never stop to give you a break

They’ll leave you at night wide-awake

They’ll drag you down into he pits of hell

Into a fight where they don’t ring the bell

You’ll always loose no matter the cost

No matter how you fight you’ve already lost

They’ll make you blind

And you’ll soon find

That without sight you can’t fight

And you’ll never reach the light

You won’t see them again nor anyone else

For you’ll be lost in the pits of hell

Stuck in a fight with a broken bell

There’s no escape

You’ll just have to wait

Until they decide they don’t need you

Because then they’ll leave you

And you’ll never see anyone again

Stuck in this pit until the end
