Once you bother to pay attention I will tell you who I am
I'm a very trusty salesman of a cultured, landed fam' I travel 'round the country selling bits of prized bazaar I've shaken hands with many folk from peasants to the tsar I've got a slight connection with the affluents o'er you Not too many differences I notice 'tween the very two. I've started out this morning as early as early as I could My darling niece and wise accountant told me that I should So here I am to sell you all the goods that you should lack They were sold to me from China in a bug infested sack But not to worry 'cause it's snowy should've kill'd the fleas And be lucky that the tea you buy s'not all been in the seas Now please forgive me as I inform you that I always sneeze The scent of the enchanting tea is guided by the breeze Forty pounds per sack it costs me, indeed a lower cost I'm not entirely certain of the sum when it was lost Buying tea is family tradition it's been with us for years So trust me when I tell you that the water isn't tears Sugar will cost you extra because it's harder to obtain It takes a profound intellectual to bargain with the brain So worry not and enjoy the lot as it's improbable it will rain © 2016 BenjTurlik |
