What do you want from me?

What do you want from me?

A Poem by Bianca King
"

A conversation between the Sun and the Sky

"
'What do you want from me?'
Asked the sun to the sky,
'I light you up during the day,
But must take my rest at night.

'Some days you close up
And all you do is cry.
Other days you force me away
Until I am distant and high.

'You thunder and storm
Then turn obnoxiously blue.
You call me every morning
Then turn starry at the moon.

'Do you love me?
Is this all a ruse?
Should I take back my love?
Am I still your muse?'

'What do you want from me?'
The sky asked in reply.
'I hold you all day,
Then you leave with no goodbye.

'When you see that I'm upset,
You never ask why.
If I push you away,
It's because you don't try!

'Everyday I see you kiss
The wide open lands and tousled sea.
The bright white moon, you worry about
He just likes to smile at me.

'Do you care for me,
Staring down from above?
Because all I've ever wanted from you
Was love.'
