Blood Red Curtain

Blood Red Curtain

A Poem by Blue Bird II

Deception and fear,

everything is so clear.

I got you in my face,

and I'm out of my place.

I'm about to perish,

without a trace.

I'm pushed to the edge,

I can't think straight.

In over my head,

I'm not that great.

But when it comes to you,

one thing is for certain,

You've got me tied up

in my own Blood Red Curtain.

You've taunted me,

you couldn't even see

that throwing the bomb,

won't create world peace.

You were blind,

completely gone out of your mind.

You passed it on to me,

all of your hurting.

Now look at me,

in my own Blood Red Curtain.

Regret,

and in pain.

Not even to you,

would I tell you my name.

Its not a surprise,

you can't realize,

your blinded by the color

of my blood shot eyes.

I'm falling off the edge,

are you sure that your sober?

In over my my head,

I'm one step closer.

Don't mind me,

don't wanna be a burden.

just standing right here

in my Blood Red Curtain.

Author's Note

Blue Bird II
The phrase Blood Red Curtain refers to pain and suffering. It is also refering to taking the blame for other's mistakes. In other words, this poem is about false acusations and the suffering that follows. There will be another poem similar to this in many ways.

I enjoyed this. I feel it might amuse you to mention that while I read this, I kept hearing the stanzas like lyrics in a Linkin Park song. It flowed very well, and the imagery was compelling. I would avoid, in the future, explaining to readers what your poetry means. Good poetry can speak for itself, as yours already did. Always let your writing do the telling, and let the readers fill in the blurred edges.

I really enjoyed this write and I feel about the same of people. Some people just have problems they are too focused on others instead of themselves. I throughly enjoyed this read. I love the rhyme scheme and flow. Well done.
