The Entertainer and The Viewer

The Entertainer and The Viewer

A Poem by Serenity Faith
"

When happiness seems unreal, out of reach.

"
The curtain rises
the magician surprises
appearing in smoke
making me choke

He's absolutely brilliant
I try to stay resilient
against all his magic
yet i can't, how tragic

His looks are charming
and I find him alarming
as he takes my hand
causing me to stand

I walk to the stage
placed within a cage
my trust stays intact
then is lost in the act

I dissappear
placed back in my seat
my worlds now unclear
he was so discreet

He the entertainer
made images planar
And I the viewer
became a pursuer

The audience cheered
His presence revered
I was just a pawn
And he was now gone

He was the Magician Happiness,
A perplex illusion,
A slide of hand,
And a trick of the heart.

Author's Note

Serenity Faith
I made up the phrase at the bottom and had used it in my story Catching Fire Stars. When I was rereading my story I came across it. I then came up with this poem off the top of my head, so I know it's not that great. This poem is the entertainer and you the reader are the viewer, so enjoy ^_^
