How the World Works

How the World Works

A Poem by BlankCypher

It spins deftly.
Turning in speeds in excess of understanding.
Sentience unknown by the parasitic beings infesting its surface.

Symbiosis interrupted by its destructive populus.
It writhes under the strain yet carries on
Oblivious.

Looming demise brings the melancholic overture to an end.
Chiming the doom bells.
Marking the execution of the life of a deity,
called so by those who claimed it's sanctity.
