Mother's day

Mother's day

A Poem by Thief Lord Alex
"

A mother's day poem

"

Here’s a poem
Just to say
A few special words
On your special day

Of all the mothers in the world
It is other kids I pity
Cause I was blessed with a mom
Who is smart and witty

And though sometimes I hate it
When you scream and shout
You’re one mom who’s
Cool without a doubt!

Just because you’re cool
It doesn’t make you cold
Cause I’ve got mom who’s heart
Has always been set in gold

Of all the moms in the world you’re mine
And that’s why I want to say
That for everything you’ve done
Happy Mother’s Day!

So here’s a gift
Wrapped in smiles
That could keep going
For miles and miles

good, but a little too 'greeting card cute' if you get what I mean. You have a great start - try reading all different kinds of poetry. My creative writing teacher said that poetry isn't just saying something - it's saying something in a way no one else can.

best of luck :)
