Military Mom

Military Mom

A Poem by Bloody_Stars
"

Right now my son is on the East coast with my fmaily. And i am on the west coast. Next year is when I will move him with me.

"

Being a military mom is hard

Work all day, everyday

Go out to sea whenever you are told

It hurts so much

To not be there

To miss everything new he is learning

To not be able to raise him

I'm doing this job for my family and my country

But being in won't last a lifetime

It's hard for any new mom to experience this

Crying is something I try not to do

Being alone at night

Praying that your kid is safe with his other family

This is not normal

There is something missing inside

No one said this will be easy

Everytime I see my son

He has changed

Became someone else when I last left him

God, this is not normal

I pray you give me strength that I need to continue on

Amen.

This is beautiful... I love how you shaped it into a prayer. May God send you strength, dear friend.
