Flavours of You

Flavours of You

A Poem by Patrick Sean Purdy

Brown sugar and lemon grass;
Flavors of your soul
I inhale with my being.
Silky sweet crystals
And sour blades of green.
I roll you around
Inside of my mind;
Taste you with my heart.
Dinner will never be the same
Now that I've had you.

The images and descriptions within your words wind around one another and dance in the metaphors of aroma, in such few words you describe perfectly the yearning passion within your being. Tastes pour down images of scent that your words create powerful but gentle and sensual. Gorgeous.

I just love the description in this poem, it makes me want to visualize all of the really great words you used in my own scenario.

About
I've always loved words and phrasing. I'm a voracious reader and I love good writing, no matter the genre. Sometimes I feel like I have a good idea for a story or a poem, and I try to get that down.. more..
