Street of Dreams

Street of Dreams

A Poem by Bohrium Guy
"

Just passing some thoughts and ideas around....

"

Everyone thinks the streets are paved with gold,

That life is greatest if you have a wad to hold.

Possession and products hold steady the lock and key,

And love and promises are a thing of life's insanity.

After a while the road is found to be a trick of lights,

Stars look old and the buildings won't glisten in the nights.

I'll take you there and show you all the thrills to be,

Problem is, I refuse to hold a candle to what you see.

Love me for what you see and not of my wallet filled,

Wasting time and money only creates illusions distilled.

I love with all I am and give you a real heart instead,

Where words take meaning and care fills your head.

That's what love is about not a tool or a blade of desire,

It's two people in love that are willing to carry the fire.

Not living a street of dreams laced with lies and deception,

Love waits for a hand the carries love without rejection.

love is not just the glitter and fairy tale happy ever afters...no...it is being there when it counts...it is being there in the bad times...suffering through the low points and sticking together...
