You said, I said.

You said, I said.

A Poem by Soraya Austen
"

I typed this up after a weird dream I had.

"
You cheated, I thought I was defeated.
You lied, I almost died.
You smirked, while I  worked.
You committed theft, so I left.
You found yourself deep in malice, while I ruled in a palace.
You thought you could make me cry, I said 'Nice try.'
You wanted to get back together, but this time I am more clever.
You were in shame, I rose to fame.
You tried once more, but I chose to ignore.
You broke into my house, I chased you out like a mouse.
You ran away, I saved the day.
You lived on the streets, I stayed in suites.
You came to talk, I took a walk.
You got delirious, I knew it was serious.
You were a threat, I broke no sweat.
You threw a punch but I had a hunch.
You went crazy, I was hazy.
You went to jail, I picked up my mail.
You sent a letter, I knew better.
You wanted me back, I knew it was an attack.
You promised it wasn't, but I went to my cousin.
You were bailed, I was detailed.
You came back, I gave you a slap.
You kept coming, but I wasn't running.
You sent gifts, I thought of all the 'if's'.
You changed your ways, I thought it was a cliche.
You got better, I became less of a fretter.
You asked me to reconsider, I thought you were a kidder.
You seemed sincere, I saw it as queer.
You came, I played this game.
You said 'I love you", I didn't think it was true.
You kept trying, I began crying.
You wanted to see me, I felt queasy.
You asked me on a date, I said wait.
You stayed away, I began to pray.
You stared, I got scared.
You said sorry, I got in my Ferrari.
You chased me down, I had a frown.
You yelled I saw the cartel.
You fought, I was caught.
You tried, but I cried.
You traded, I waited.
You came, I had shame.
You proposed I didn't say no.
You kneeled, I squealed.
You stood at the altar, I started to falter.
You smiled, I walked the aisle.
You said 'I do", and I did too.
You said ultimate, I said infinite.
You caught my hand, I felt grand.
You took me to Greece, I felt at peace.
You bought a house, I saw a mouse.
You took the mouse, I said send it to Laos.
You had a mood, I grabbed food.
You ate, I cleaned the plate.
You went to sleep, I heard a beep.
You jumped up, I saw a pup.
You said no, I said 'I know".
You went back, I named him Jack.
You were mad, I was sad.
You said fine, I knew you wouldn't mine.
You were snappy. I was happy.
You said goodnight, I said quite.
We were both finally happy.
