Bad Friend

Bad Friend

A Poem by Booklover200014
"

This was just something that I wanted to try. It expresses my feelings towards my friends

"
I know people must change
But why do you have to become so strange
You're not the person I once knew
Could you had at least given me a clue
I know we've grown
Why could I have known
This thing was fake
I should had left, just like a flake

Where were you when I needed you
How was I supposed to make it through
I cried a lot
Was left to rot
How could you not had noticed my tears
Did you think I had no fears

Was I just being used
Now this heart of mine feels like it's bruised
I must speak out
I have no doubts
This thing must end
All you've ever been was a bad friend

This poem expresses my true feelings towards my friends. I'm new at writing poems to show people how I feel. I just had to try something to get rid of these negative feelings that I feel.

Friends should not leave us in times of needs...

Very moving. Keep going. They are probably not the right person for you.

Emotions toward friends is a fickle thing. In a way, friends are expendable which is not something humans would like to admit. However, we must also take into account "perspective." From the friend's viewpoint, they cannot always understand the thoughts of the other by simple body language. They might very well be struggling with internal conflict that you may or may not know.

INTERPRETATION OF THE POEM

1. The narrator appears to be the strong yet gentle.

2. "I know people must change
But why do you have to become so strange"

Sometimes it is not the "strange" aspect of friendship that is the problem. Change happens when the person is experiencing growth whether it be positive or negative.

QUESTIONS

1. What did the friend do to make the narrator angry?

CONCLUSION

Overall, I felt that the poem was sincere which gains my upmost respect. :D

Do not fret. We all experience those "bad eggs." :P

Nice work!
