You left me standing there
Shaking
You knew how much you meant to me
But you never turned around.

You didn't give me a reason
Why you were leaving
Only said that
You were gone

You mentioned it would be best
For both of us
But tell me please
How was it best for me

You knew what it would do to me
But you didn't even care
So don't try to pretend
Like you cared

You didn't come to my funeral
A few months later
Even though you got
Several invitations

Because everyone knew
Who the one person
I would have wanted there
Always was

They even postponed it
For a week
In hopes you would come
But no

When you got the invite
You tore it up
Went back to your life
Every single invite

When you finally got the last one
You said, "Oh man.
They must be serious.
She's gone. I thought it was her trying to get me back."

And you came.
But you were too late
I was already
In the ground

I was sitting up there in heaven thinking.
Thinking that it didn't matter
If I was in "heaven"
For me it was Hell

You never went to visit my grave
You sat in denial for the rest of your life
Even though you knew that it was because of your leaving,
That you had gotten my funeral invitation

Without me even reaching 18.
