orbit

orbit

A Poem by Fra/c/ture

in the year 1000

Earth was

Infinite,

no boundaries

it could never be

Full--

boy, did we learn!

in the year 2000

stacking graves like

cases of soda in supermarkets,

wondering where to go with

the trash and packaging

of the last thousand years,

so we look to star-spread space

say, looks good, it's Infinite

it could never be

Full, but already

hundreds of

millions of

pieces of trash--

satellites, thrusters, maybe

washing machines and recliners

or rusted out Volvos

are already in orbit,

but that's okay it's 2000

and space is Infinite and...

boy, what did we learn?

Rusted out Volvos .... Yessss!!

Posted 17 Years Ago

Unlike Sarah, I have NO desire to go back in time
to romp with the dinosaurs or have my hair pulled
and dragged into some dark damp cave...ew.

I love the premise of this piece...totally took a
different approach than how I thought it would
go from reading the title. I like this. I like your
way.

I love this, it's so true. How I wish I had lived in year 100, or before... in prehistoric times, with the dinosaurs! O_O; Yes, that'd be enjoyable... loved this poem a lot. ^_^
