Gabrielle

A Poem by BreannaAutumn
"

A poem I wrote for the girl I could've loved

"
We spent just one night together
you and I
In the tent you slept in every night
sharing your twin bed
snuggled so close to you
My drumming heart kept me up all night
wanting nothing more than to kiss your lips
Your beauty frazzled me
that day we spent together
Your smile made me fall for you
the way your eyes lit up
when you looked at me
It felt like id known you forever
so natural, so real
and in another place
in the right time
 the right moment
you'd love me forever
I'd have made sure of it
but you walked away
after that one day
and I died a little inside
I will never really know
what it would've been like
to feel your love
but every day since
I wish I knew
I wish it would have been right
I wish you'd stayed
