Interstellar Dance Party

Interstellar Dance Party

A Poem by Brenden Bow
"

This is an earlier poem of mine.

"
Through the sky where the eagles, doves, and sparrows fly,
take my hand. Come with me through the screen, through my heart and through your eyes.

Don't be shy, come, my darling. Go up high. Oops, don't fall down.
I hope you realize I won't let that celestial smile fade into sound.
The stars change from one to a billion. Look up at the constellations.
Imagine observing them from the viewing deck of a space station.

Star system turns to the galaxy, galaxies turn to the universe.
In my mind, I can finally, and fully, immerse. In my dreams, I can disperse.
I wish, in life, we could hit it and shuffle.
I doubt we'd have too much of a negative rebuttal.

Change everything, from the the heart break to the trauma, right down to the last bee sting.
High in the night air, we'll have a fling.
The star light, oh, look at the star's flight.
Grab that rope and let's make the moon our kite.

Dance, dance the space fox trot. Down, down we're flying through the town.
Be the queen. I'll be the king. Accept my crown.
For you, I'll let the red rain fall.
For you, I'll let the the blue tears call.

The entrancing soundscape has begun to shape my dreamscape,
taking me to a world with a wholly unfamiliar landscape.
Take me to another world where maybe, just maybe, my mind can be unfurled;
take me, beholder, to another world.
