Anything

Anything

A Poem by Brett Pritchard
"

Ever give your all for someone who truly needed it and always kind of will. Yet despite all of this they'll still kick you and hard every now and again?

"

I’d do anything for you, I’d carry you from the fire.

Tend your wounds and keep your voice, replenish your empire.

My muscles ache and my ears cry havoc, your words turn my inclination.

All I do is try to help, and yet still you are impatient.

Nothing results from everything, and all I try to do.

And yet still I stagger through the rain, still I’d do anything for you.

First off, had to chuckle at that pic, says a lot to begin with. There will always be givers and takers in life, sometimes we fit into both categories nicely, but then there are others that will never understand the concept of both. No matter what we do, it'll never be enough for the true takers. I can wrap my head around this one, I think we all have dealt with someone like this in our lives, nicely pen'd Brett.

Some people are born only to give and get nothing in return. And some like our old parents, act impatient with us, knowing fully well that we'd do anything for them unconditionally.Very apt words to describe your feelings.
I hope I have interpreted you right.

Very concise, but you still managed to breathe life into this one. I feel the concept...some of us just can't help but give and give desptie the outcome. I'm one of those people; I give beyond my limits, and rarely recieve the same in return. Nice flow, good imagery...overall, a nice write.
