Hell Inside MY Head

Hell Inside MY Head

A Poem by Brittney Lea
"

i dont really know what to say about this one

"

There’s a hell inside my head

Even as I sleep

I can feel them all around me

They crawl up my legs

They wrap their hands around my throat

Suffocation

I can’t breathe

Can’t see

With shaking hands

I carve into my skin

I beg for the beasts to leave

Aching to rid my body of the pain

My vision blurs

In my last breathe I whisper

“I’m sorry”

I am a bird

Flying high above the world

As I watch the world below

I pray that they too

Find an escape

From the hell inside their head
