Twisted Dreamers

Twisted Dreamers

A Poem by Brooklyn

They say my mind is kind of twisted
I suppose the jokes on me
Who would ever believe?
Do fairytales ever come true?
Is it stupid of me to dream?
That’s why my mind is twisted
But that’s why I believe
I believe in the dreamers
I believe in true love
I believe there is a God who is bigger than me
Who cares if it’s twisted?
I don’t, nope not me
Think what you want
Say what you must
But one day when I’m happy
And you’re sulking in doubt
You’ll be jealous of the dreamers
Who always believed
