Texting

Texting

A Poem by Brooklyn
"

A humorous poem about how our world is infatuated with texting and the social world in the palm of our hands (jokingly of course...)

"

Texting texting

Oh how it made a mess

A mess of our generation

For we all think texting’s best

It’s easy to type and to spell and to say

Whatever the hell we want to say

Then just that one button, send, off it goes

Our texts are off into cyber world

Then onto your phone, buzz, there it is

You read, type, respond

The texting never ends

And slowly but surely

Texting changed the world

For, oh my oh no, he said hello face to face

Now what do I do???

Our verbal social skills are apparently lacking

Cuz’ texting, tweeting, and instagramming

But I looked up from my phone and managed to say

Hey lol ttyl I g2g

This is my new favourite poem. No one ever wants to talk anymore, just say useless stuff in a text. You are a great poet :)
