The Pharaoh's CurseA Poem by Bryad Polis ValentinoYet another disturbing nightmare made into poetry. Putrid prince of peace, rotted sorcerer elite. Denied a life of happiness for who he beseech.
The Pharaoh's curse,
Drove him to insanity, A child from far away, Begging for an end to his sorrow, Repentance is all he knew, "I'm not him but I am." Lamentation for his old, His shriveled ways, As the mother grasps him so, He prays to his forgotten sister, "Set! You are cursed!" Duat, suffer a thousand lives, As Nephthys cries, "Isis, you traitor." You made me hate life, You made me pay for his sin, My heart was to shallow for life, As the goddess clings to my side, "Render him to flames." "Each thine day, be impervious." The cheated prince sobs, At the forfeit of happiness. The Pharaoh's curse. © 2019 Bryad Polis ValentinoAuthor's Note
