Only you

Only you

A Poem by Bushra Naqshbandi
"

Turn to Him before you return to Him.

"
Over and over again, I have erred,
Yet, my good points highlighted,
Faults you have blurred.
I fall down without meaning to,
You're waiting to catch me,
You help me get through.
You remind me but I tend to ignore,
I regret not paying heed to you,
But I always end up doing it even more.
If I want to cry for not being able to obey,
Tears do not seem to want to come out,
I never wanted to but I was born to sway.
And yet time and again you keep turning to me,
You don't talk so I don't know if you forgive,
But you never stop guiding even if you're angry.
It surprises me at times that I was chosen by you,
Mostly, it grieves because I've sinned too much,
But from now on let me follow the path of only you.
Amen.
