In reply to Killing Me Softly

In reply to Killing Me Softly

A Poem by Busola Laditan
"

My Reply to Lauren Hill's or any version of Killing ME Softly

"

It was nobody’s business what she’s been through

Except that he noticed what she went through
When worse he ripped her with his pencil
His pen left her naked with no defenses
Her secrets written with passionate vengeance
He was just then regaining his senses
Unaware that ink soaked through the page
And what he wrote became her stage
And she wasn’t ready to be made
Into a spectacle.

In reply to
Killing me softly
