Five Senses of War

Five Senses of War

A Poem by Hadley
"

This is what happens when I stay up past my bed time. I end up writing down the first words that come to mind~

"

Blood shot eyes, Spinning buildings.
They look all too familiar.

Pounding chest, Throbbing mind.
The feeling's all the same.

Blasting thoughts, Screaming voices.
the sounds I've come to recognize.

Bittersweet, Sour loss.
The taste I've come to know.

Decayed pain, Burning sulfur.
The scent I remember as death.

Forget I may
Forget I might.
I wish I'll forget tonight.

Great job. You should stay up late again and write. :)

Very nice, you can picture things very easily. Your thoughts come across nicely, I like it. Awesome poem.
