DIGITAL DECAY.

DIGITAL DECAY.

A Poem by BreedsWithDragons

Stepped in too deep, lost in the bustle of consumption.

Trapped in a cave of technologic reproduction.

Help captive by your laptop and that TV.

In this tornado of wires it's so hard to see.

And it's so hard to think or come up with thoughts of your own.

These robots have marked their territory in your humble home.

You can't shake these bugs or zap them with chemicals.

And as they advance, you notice yourself going mental.

They speak for you in a tone that is so hard and cold.

You can't expect them to care that you're young with a soul so old.

You never asked for this overbearing invasion, but for the others the machines

spoke with such a smooth persuasion.

 What can you do?

 Only sit and complain.

As these robots, these bugs, make their way into the universal brain.
