When you don't sleep

When you don't sleep

A Poem by BreedsWithDragons

Oh absent sleep, where have you been?

It seems I walked out, just as you walked in.

When you began to disappear, i find to never miss you.

And when I feel your effects, it's mass confusion I must get through.

Because the less I get of you, the better my day goes.

You can see it on my face, in my expression it shows.

And in the way I wear my clothes, carrying the swagger on.

 It's the price you pay.

It's the way it goes when you stay awake till dawn.

Great piece- love the tone. :)
Wonderful little rhyme scheme and brilliant word choice. It was a bit confusing for me at first, because I wasn't sure if you were talking about sleep, or a lack of sleep, but I think I understand it now. :)

Nice write!
