Melody of Silence

Melody of Silence

A Poem by Sira YR
"

Hope you all had a happy Thanksgiving!!

"

Sunset dims

Quiet

Moonlight beams

Hush

Starlight twinkles

Wait

Conductor tiks...toks…

Eyes close

A signal to begin

A grumble

A rumble

Heart pumps

A steady silent beat

Chest rises

Crescendo

And falls

Decrescendo

Pulse quickens

Allegro

And slows

Adagio

Breath evens and holds its note

Fermata

And nature watches with baited breath

As the melody of silence

Orchestra of peace

Plays on and on

Until…

Stop!

Caesura!

Concert concludes

Coda

Applause comes in chirps

Sunlight brightens

A new day begins

The melody of silence

Forever being a gift

An ode

To the star-spangled night
