Dwelling on the past

Dwelling on the past

A Poem by CDoh
"

For my sister

"

Dwelling on the past

chasing old ghots that hold our hearts

the words of what you speak

should mot be spoken in these parts

bearing poisoned darts

that are thron into our hearts

i will not sit back and watch

as time tears you apart

the portrait of you speaks to me

but gives me less than nothing

our darkest days must be conquered

forgiven but not forgotten

the time will come when the clouds will break

souls will be lost without each other

and to adjust and adapt for what once was

we will both need time to recover

searching for a better way as we endure the pain of yesterday

the cold fear in your eyes helps us fight today

what will become as time goes by?

the pain you have felt, i cannot deny
