Finding faith.

Finding faith.

A Poem by CDoh
"

A loved one of mine is sick at the moment and this is my tribute.

"

A body lay upon the bed

her limbs, they weigh a tonne

her tears are absorbed in sponge like cheeks

her whole world has come undone

a body lay exhausted

each breath shallower than the last

as the foot steps of her memories tred

and her mind relives the past

she doesnt often cry out loud

her whispers go unheard

she just lays in pain and suffers

noone speaks back to her words

her bones are weak and weathered

it adds abstract to her frame

now the blood that flows beneath her skin

passes cold, through tightened veins

she finds comfort in her dreams

as the morphine passes by

the drugs, a second heart beat

pulling together to stay alive

she marched on like a warrior

but the battle was already lost

so she finds faith in other places

and she stands right by her god.
