He stains my skin

He stains my skin

A Poem by CDoh
"

about my tattoo, for my grandfather

"
It hurts to lose a loved one,
they're love there's none the same
to memorialise they're being
there's no way better than to be stained.

I've seen the birth of human beings
and watched as others had to end,
it hurts to lose a loved one
even more when they're your friend.

i dedicate my angel
to the ones that i have lost,
a representation of a life once lived
and a memory of what once was.

they're being may have left us
but their love remains within
a flame that flickers eternally
through the ink that stains my skin.

This poem made me cry... This is really good, I've lost two of my older brothers (one died at 14 from a heart condition and the other killed himself right before he turned 28) and I can sense in your poem the way you felt about you're grandfather. I also love the way you describe it as stained instead of something like imprinted or stamped because those words would make it seem ridgid. Sorry for my rambling, but I just wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed this piece and that I plan to read alot more of your work ^_^
