Call Of Shame

Call Of Shame

A Poem by Decdreams87

Call Of Shame

by Christopher Rossi

I'm trying to grow the courage
but the telephone won't reach for me
there's a number on the napkin
from a restaurant down the street
my only lame excuse is..
Is that a seven or a three?
Is it hot in here or is it just me?
I don't know why I hesitate
because you're the one who inked your name
expecting to be my luscious date.
Don't waste your time; you'll only wait
for my despicable call of shame.
