One Chance

We have not met before,
Like the first sunset
ever to be swallowed by the sea.
You see?
We cannot make up for grounds
we have not covered yet.
Sometimes we cannot predict.
Though I know
we will be ahead of our time.
We will understand and succeed.
We will have one chance at this first impression.
We will realize that there is only you and me.
