Empty Shadow Thirty-Three

You’re the light when

                All the colors go black

And these wicked eyes

                Wish to be tearful

At the sight of your hues

                You’re echoed in my dreams

Where you sang gleeful tunes

                The hint of you

Still lingers in my bed

                Like smoke from the cigarettes

We sucked down

                After the deed of the heart

All the joys in a bleak mind

                Come with your light

They should kiss a smile on my lips

                They should be a perfect day

You reach for me

                Ready to paint me in all the colors

But you don’t see

                You do not want too

‘You’ve changed,’

                                We both have -
