I never want to get sick of you

I never want to get sick of you

A Poem by Madison Russell
"

I never want to get sick of you. I never want to forget this feeling of love, like I'm on top of the world.

"

I never want to get sick of you

I always see these couples

Married for ten years

Have four kids

And they get sick of each other

They don’t feel that rush of adrenalin

They no longer get butterflies when the other walks into the room

I don’t want that to happen to us

I never want this feeling to end

This feeling of love and wanting

Like I’ve just won the lottery, every time you walk into the room

What I really don’t want to end is

The heart emoticons

And the smiley faces on the end of every text

Those little things that sometimes mean the most

I want us to grow old.

To buy our first apartment and make it ours, even though it’s crappy and has peeling paint

To hold hands as we go grocery shopping

To get married

To have kids

But I don’t want that if it means that this feeling

This amazing feeling

Has to end.
