True Rescue Story of Stray Cats Titi and Gypsy

True Rescue Story of Stray Cats Titi and Gypsy

A Chapter by Camilli
"

Heart-warming, true cat rescue story about how the injured, stray cat and her kitten were rescued and got a forever home.

"

I'm Titi and I used to be a stray,
I’d walk the streets hungry every single day.
Beg for food, hunt in a stinky bin,
escape nasty kids, scratch fleas on my skin,
try not to get by a vicious dog eaten,
and avoid getting kicked by people or beaten.
Life was not happy for me as a stray,
till I met a kind woman one day.
She left food out for me, but still I was afraid
especially when traps to catch me she made.
I came to eat, but always took care,
never to get caught in a trap there.
I wanted a home, but in my mind
I still mistrusted all human kind.
I'd eat the food and then sneak away,
till I gave birth to kittens one day.
I left them hidden in an old shed
and hurried off to get fed,
but when I returned, horrified I saw
all my dear kittens lay dead on the floor!
Oh the horrible, terrible, heartbreaking sight,
I cried and I cried, when suddenly from the right,
out crawled meowing in despair,
my very last kitten, that had been hiding there.
And my poor little kitten, had been injured too,
distraught I didn’t know what to do.
She cried in pain and clung to me in fear.
What an awful thing happened to my dear!
I licked the bloody cut on her face
and carried my poor baby away from that place.
Where to hide my injured kitten?
Where to save us from being bitten?
The only safe place which I could find,
was with the woman who had been so kind.
I placed my baby in a place she would see
and hoped she’d take care of her for me.
I hid by a bush and watched all day,
till she found my kitty and took her away.
They found her a home I hear
with a vet who loves my baby dear.
I am so grateful my kitty is okay,
and has plenty of food and love each day.
It's such a relief to know that she
won’t suffer a stray life like me.
I came to trust the kind lady from that day,
I came up to her door, wishing to stay.
I’m now in her home but I heard her tell,
that soon I’ll get a wonderful home as well.
I’m excited and hope that my owners will be,
as lovely as these kind people are to me.
