Mike

Mike

A Poem by Jessica L Auster
"

Not to be mistaken with my other poem "Michael" about my uncle.

"

Oh Mike,

How do I convey my feelings to thee

Without blushing on my paper?

And to be honest with you,

Cause I always am,

You're the one that gives me

"Permanent butterflies".

And if I could pick my favorite thing about you,

I'd pick your smile

Because even in the dark,

I can still see those teeth of yours.

A smile has never looked better on anyone

Other than yourself.
