Chaotic Rhythm

Chaotic Rhythm

A Poem by Captain Rilen

Finding your hold,

Only to feel your grip slipping.

Fingertips desperately clinging,

Barely  holding on.

Pulling myself up,

Limbs straining desperately.

I can't let up,

I'm so close to the top.

Why  is it I aim upwards,

When I can simply travel forwards?

What am I headed towards?

Other than another moment,

Another utilisation of senses.

I should feel comfortable,

In the least used to life by now.

Nevertheless,

It continues to surprise me,

I can never understand how.

Lately it feels like music,

Playing chaotically.

Each note and moment,

Fingers touching misdirected keys.

A piece so bizarre,

It knows not what it wants.

It conveys what it is,

And what it is it flaunts.

I want you to feel,

What is felt by me.

A heart skipping slowly,

Along a busy street.

What a turbulent place,

Emotions flung freely.

Thrown like words,

Bouncing back unheard.

Such an odd rhythm it holds,

Good luck finding meaning.
