The Greatest War

The Greatest War

A Poem by CartoonHuman
"

A metaphor for the ongoing struggle for happiness I face every day.

"

My line is running out

Giving me no doubt

That it is almost over.

No four leaf clover,

Can help me now.

To no God can I bow,

To make this last,

It's always over too fast.

The powers crumble

The arches tumble.

This is the end of the reign.
This is the start of the pain.

The clock ticks down,

To the demise of this town.

To the beginning of a downfall.

In the end, will anyone stand tall?

Or will those who fought,

Be left underground to rot?

It will be like nothing seen before

It will be the world's greatest war.
